Greetings from London! Last week, our EIPOD fellows took part in a training led by the Natural History Museum’s public engagement staff, and participated in outreach activities on molecular biology and beyond.

The week started with visiting colleagues Tatiana Gurbich and Nishadi De Silva EMBL-EBI on Wellcome Genome Campus 🧬 Here 1/3 of the human genome was sequenced in Human Genome Project 20 years ago (and the whole genome also exists in a printed version!) ⬇️

And then - a wonderful and very fruitful week at #structuralbioinformatics course: fantastic organisation, great program, and impressive diversity of participants coming from various fields and from around the world 🌏 Happy to be part of that! 🤩

This is just ridiculous. So many questions at different levels. Can it get more hypocritical while promoting transparency/integrity/inclusion in academia? Selection of people by passport isn’t much different than by any other physical appearance. Painful to observe. ETH Zurich

BREAKING NEWS The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the 2024 #NobelPrize in Chemistry with one half to David Baker “for computational protein design” and the other half jointly to Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper “for protein structure prediction.”
