The week started with visiting colleagues Tatiana Gurbich and Nishadi De Silva EMBL-EBI on Wellcome Genome Campus 🧬 Here 1/3 of the human genome was sequenced in Human Genome Project 20 years ago (and the whole genome also exists in a printed version!) ⬇️

Finally got to see EMBLtrec portable labs inside! Half-way through in 2023, #TREC expedition plan to gather biological samples (soil, waters etc) at 120 locations along the European coastline 🤯 EMBL #expedition

This is just ridiculous. So many questions at different levels. Can it get more hypocritical while promoting transparency/integrity/inclusion in academia? Selection of people by passport isn’t much different than by any other physical appearance. Painful to observe. ETH Zurich
