This is dangerously naive. How can a date be set for schools to re-open (mid May here) when none of the essential requirements listed by Mufti Hamid (school staff testing, anti body tests) are going to be available?
So do I - Thank you Adam Boxer
The Teachers' Reading Challenge is now up and running! Visit the website teachersreadingchallenge.org.uk and find out how to get involved. Great way to improve your knowledge of children's books and develop R4P practice. The Reading Agency Reading for Pleasure 🧶
We've got a couple of vacancies at Moorlands Primary in Norfolk for after Christmas, one in Y1/2 and one in Y3/4. It's a genuine pleasure to work alongside the staff there and the kids are just fantastic. Plus, we like reading. Lots of reading. Please RT. educationjobfinder.org.uk
As well as a set of class novels (check our pinned tweet) we’re also giving away a novel a day that we feel is important in terms of diversity, every day until launch day. Today is Front Desk by Kelly Yang - this is a MASTERPIECE! RT + follow to win. Announced tomorrow.
Graphic novel help: we have a small selection in school but would love more- can anyone recommend a few that would be suitable for LKS2? Thank you 🙏 Richard Ruddick Jon Biddle
I’m looking for some suggestions for read aloud novels for year 5. Something fairly short and light hearted to start with would be ideal. Thank you 🙏 📚Jon Biddle Simon Smith
Our librarians had a great time at Bookbugs and Dragon Tales bookshop yesterday. They chose some fantastic books for the library for all year groups. Thank you to Bookbugsdragontales📚 for organising such a lovely afternoon for our children.
