The £10bn deal with Norway for 5 new frigates to be built on the Upper Clyde means huge investment in skilled jobs - big win for working class communities. Thank you Keir Starmer for meeting with GMB members at BAE Scotstoun today.

Watching Ian walk into Number 10 the day after we delivered 37 Scottish MPs was one of the proudest moments of my professional career. Thank you Ian for everything you have done for all of us

I was proud to serve as Ian Murray MP’s Parliamentary Private Secretary. He did so much for Scottish Labour; for so many years battling away as our only MP. He transformed the work of the Scotland Office, with the £10bn deal with Norway the latest example of this.

I’ve been around Scottish politics for a long time and rarely have I seen a more effective politician than Ian Murray MP .Look at his record in winning elections, delivery in office and support amongst colleagues. A real loss to government.

Honoured to stand with Ambassador Husam Zomlot at the ceremony marking the UK's recognition of the State of Palestine. A vital step toward peace, justice, and a two-state solution.

Just listened to Margaret Aspinall addressing #Lab25 and talking about her work to secure the Hillsborough Law. A tremendous campaigner, an outstanding speech - and, sharing her gratitude for a Prime Minister Keir Starmer who listened and who kept his promise #JFT97

I’d like to thank the first responders for their courage during the Manchester attack yesterday. The whole country must come together to stand in support and solidarity with the Jewish community. Hatred will never win.

Loving catching up on Celebrity Traitors. A palatial gothic building, everyone stabbing each other in the back, and a woman with a black bob promising financial reward if you stay disciplined. For an MP, it’s such a break from reality!

My dad would’ve turned 100 this year. He was so proud of his Army service. He enlisted at 17 with two friends, he was the only one who came home. Today we remember all who gave their lives and those who still keep us safe.

Nuclear energy provides 1000s of good well paid jobs. I want these jobs in Scotland. The SNP is blocking them. We import nuclear generated electricity from England - as opposed to having good jobs here. Impossible to understand why the SNP think this is a good situation.

It’s been an incredible Autumn of campaigning and we’ve spoken to hundreds of people across Portobello, Bingham, the Christians, Tranent and Wallyford. We’ve less than six months to build a better country and deliver the new direction our communities so desperately need. Join

The SNP is holding back Scotland from the full advantage of new nuclear projects. Jobs, apprenticeships, supply chain investment, SMEs - all losing out because of their playground politics. In May, a change of Scottish Government can reverse that.

Labour has taken £150 off the costs of energy bills. Energy companies need to pass on every penny. Alongside Ed Miliband I’ve written to suppliers calling for action. dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/…

I hope Chris Mason and others read this thread…the selective framing of a budget argument is common and not the same as uniquely lying to win an argument.
