I was proud to serve as Ian Murray MP’s Parliamentary Private Secretary. He did so much for Scottish Labour; for so many years battling away as our only MP. He transformed the work of the Scotland Office, with the £10bn deal with Norway the latest example of this.

I’ve been around Scottish politics for a long time and rarely have I seen a more effective politician than Ian Murray MP .Look at his record in winning elections, delivery in office and support amongst colleagues. A real loss to government.

The SNP is holding back Scotland from the full advantage of new nuclear projects. Jobs, apprenticeships, supply chain investment, SMEs - all losing out because of their playground politics. In May, a change of Scottish Government can reverse that.
