This is to my mind the killer chart here. Just 15% of the public said when we asked earlier this year the Government has things under control. 72% say it doesn’t - so people turn to other options outside of traditional mainstream in hope they can give control.

A calamitous failure of the British state.. of scrutiny, accountability, responsibility and political will… and not by any means an isolated example.

At last night’s Scrutiny Overview, the Tory Mayor’s response on his #VAWG Delivery plan was vague, harmful & revealing. By saying “they don’t accept they’re in abuse” ignores: 🩸 Women are often killed while leaving ✊🏾 Systems retraumatise survivors ⚖️ Intersectionality matters

A reminder that the government has banned the most senior member of the armed forces from speaking on the record at a public event, even when sat alongside foreign colleagues who can speak freely A frankly ludicrous situation. If we trust Radakin to run the armed forces,

Can't believe that @Southernrailuk is going to close down the only really secure cycle storage at East Croydon Station. The other site on George Street suffer vandalism and lacks capacity.

If there's one thing that was definitely true under Eisenhower, it's that international law was applied totally impartially and without regard to the interests of the great powers.

I can see a case for a smartphone ban in schools but as a first step I think it would be better if the govt required social media apps to block school-aged access during school hours. Only if that fails, move to the physical ban.

I've written to the CEO of Southern asking them to reverse the decision to close the cycle racks at East Croydon Station. We should be encouraging cyclists with secure, accessible bike parking - not taking it away. Sign the petition: chng.it/7R5GXK7VZn
