📣Yesterday was an amazing day at West Charlotte High School‼️We had the privilege of hosting our first ever Special Olympics Spring Games. We hosted 15 schools from across CMS and welcomed over 800 guests. Our athletes competed well, showed courage and confidence

GenerationNation will forever be family for me! These four years has been BLESSED! I’m grateful that I have learned, built friendships and relationships within CMYC. Now I can leave this work in capable hands to continue the process of building back better into our community.

West Charlotte senior Malachi Thompson is named the first recipient of the GenerationNation Civic Leadership Award! Chase Howard, CMYC President and member of the GenerationNation board, announced the award and recognized Malachi at the May 22 Celebrating Student Leaders event.

I believe in what you don’t honor will exit your life. Thank you to GenerationNation and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools for celebrating me and all the work I’ve done these last four years. Today I felt unappreciated today and unfortunately it came from mine own school. But nevertheless I’m grateful
