Failure may reflect: -what you have learned up until now -what you are capable of right now -the circumstances you currently face But, failure does not define: -who you are as a person -your value or worth in this world -the direction or destination of your future

For all my #AcademicChatter people out there: A requirement of my undergrad bio degree is to be involved in research of some type. How might one navigate the waters of choosing a research advisor/research project? Thanks in advance, a lost premed at a small college

Academia is sometimes too focused on doing things at speed, to "get things done". It might be one of the reasons why there's a tsunami of junk/questionable work published on a daily basis. A focus on slowing down with an emphasis on quality over quantity might be beneficial.

Med students, do not send thank you notes to your interviewers. It’s not necessary. If you really want to send something, an invoice that covers related travel expenses would be fine.
