The Banshees couldn't continue the marathon run and were defeated in the semifinals of the All A state tournament. Five games in less than 24 hours is a tall task at this level. Congratulations to Kaitlyn Cissell and Maggie Mattingly for making the all tournament team.

The Banshees hit four BOMBS tonight during their 18-3 district victory over Washington County. They were hit by, from left to right, freshman Kayla Grundy, sophomore Virginia Clements, sophomore Rylee French, and senior Maggie Mattingly.

What a senior night for Maggie Mattingly! She hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the first, and a three-run walkoff homer in the bottom of the fifth as the Banshees defeated Fern Creek 11-0. Way to go, Maggie! Congratulations to her and fellow senior emma.

The Banshee softball team advances to the 19th District championship game tomorrow afternoon versus the winner of Thomas Nelson and Washington County. Bethlehem was led by home runs from Maggie Mattingly, Rylee French, and Kaitlyn Cissell. Cissell was also the winning pitcher.

Rylee French had four hits and 5 rbi, including a 2-run homer, and Kaitlyn Cissell gave up only four hits and struck out 12 as Bethlehem defeated Taylor County 11-1 in six innings. The Banshees advance to tomorrow's semi-finals, where they will take on Green County at 4:00.
