This is it right here. Ball rollback just doesn’t make sense to me. Golf is about the masses, not the 0.1% of golfers that can hit the ball far. We want to make it easier and more fun for amateurs, not the other way around. Hopefully this decision is not the final say on this.

I hear what you’re saying. But don’t you think it’s a pretty big disruption for 99% golfers to see such a minimal loss of distance? Think about what these manufactures will have to do to make this happen. They’re trying to target the elite but penalizing the masses.

This is a good point. When we put limits on the driver a short while back, it basically just froze it where it was. Could be a great option and clearly is much easier. Just put a parameter on the ball and then we can go forward from there.

Men’s professional golf is in a sad place. The direction it's headed right now isn't healthy or good for the sport. And I know many of you are upset with the recent developments - I would be too. I had some thoughts I wanted to share 🧵

Fans want to see the best compete against each other. Instead, we are watching the top players split into separate camps. It is frustrating to watch. I'm also a huge sports fan and would hate for my favorite players to get plucked away one by one.

We need to find a way to resonate with all of you and lead the PGA Tour back to higher ground. Hopefully, our leadership can make that happen. The uncertainty has been really difficult for us but I remain hopeful.

Had a REALLY nice welcome home yesterday from Maui. After a really long travel day (red eye) with our three kids, we got back to Charlotte to find our SUV had been stolen. People really do suck sometimes.
