Having helped several older loved ones purchase $2500+ hearing aids after they tried to do without bc they were too proud to ask for help, this makes me so happy!

Only 5 percent of people in America have gotten the new COVID booster, which protects you against the latest variants. We’re heading into winter, y’all. If you want to enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas, it’s time to STEP. IT. UP!

Raise your hand if you're ready to unseat criminally-indicted Ken Paxton from the Attorney General's office. 🖐🏽🖐🏿🖐🏼🖐🏾🖐🏻

Free Fridge programs often accept straight-up leftovers, not just shelf-stable stuff. ATX Free Fridge has requested T-Day leftovers specifically, preferably packed as individual meals. There are locations all over Austin; share the bounty. /2 maps.app.goo.gl/VKDDMDTXdYAje8…

I’m surprised at all these “SCOTUS didn’t really want to know who leaked Dobbs” takes. It seems clear to me that the Justices know who leaked (and why) - they just don’t want *us* to know.

Apparently the glare of the limelight, the allure of chasing argument counts, and of course $$$, can really distort one’s moral compass. Plus ca change . . .

It may be an urban legend, but when I clerked for Justice Blackmun the story was that he once sent a check for $1.72 to the IRS because he recalculated his taxes and discovered he had underpaid - by less than $2! It’s not hard to be ethical - you hadn’t have to want to do it.

Just thinking about the accomplished SCOTUS lawyer who humble-bragged about his 50th argument and it was to help a Minn county steal $$$ from an elderly homeowner and the most conservative Court we’ve known said Oh Hell No. Au contraire, hotshot.

Now we know why Paxton & Paul chose to hire Cammack - they needed a young atty who would let his ambition blind him to a million red flags. Young attys: Don’t ignore red flags! Don’t let criminals smooth-talk you into destroying your reputation! Don’t be blinded by ambition!

My son was a recruited athlete who didn’t even end up with a Dartmouth offer, and still coach Buddy Teevens left an indelible impression of excellence and integrity. My deepest condolences to his family and to Dartmouth Football.
