The RAIL Magazine NRA judges collectively excelled themselves this year with yet another diligently and sensitively judged set of awards. Lots of hard work behind the scenes leading to joy on the faces of the winners this evening.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! So immensely humbled to chair the panel for this category: the #railwayfamily truly brought to life!

And again, thrilled to be part of Michael Holden 's panel, this is a really tough category to judge, and it's always amazing to see the innovations delivered on our networks. Congratulations to REAL.

My other point is we obsess about value engineering but ignore that procurement/contracting strategies or how we manage access & risk have a vastly greater impact on project costs than the size of bolts, whether we can save 100mm from a pile, or whether we like the steelwork
