Over 11,000 tall buildings with unmortgageable flats. More and more EMPTY flats in blocks everywhere. People going bankrupt. An unprecedented housing crisis. Someone really needs to ask why the @MayorOfLondon refuses to fund buybacks from his dedicated acquisition budget.

🗨️ "The situation facing leaseholders at Beech and Willow Rise is absolutely heartbreaking. Some have mortgages they’re still paying; others have already paid them off — but all are now staring down the barrel of losing not only their home, but their life savings too."
