Leasehold cheating never ceases: Guy selling flat has to pay £1,100 for LPE1 form ... plus some made-up management, admin, legal and gardening fees. Won't pay? Don't sell. He can and should go to tribunal after the sale completes.

Leaseholders will rightly feel betrayed by this news and MPs on all sides will feel they’ve been led up the garden path - time for a general election and a Government that will properly tackle leasehold

However there aren’t 10 million leasehold homes paying GR and it costs no where near £15 billion to remove them.

It looks like ground rent will be alive and kicking under the Tories for years to come as Gove rolls over yet again.

Proposals to set ground rents to zero were a surprise. Reneging on it, less so. My bet is an existing GR freeze.

Don't think broke councils can manage that. But right to manage for fleecehold estates would be good. Liam Fox MP has been in touch today with this crap on his doorstep, too.

To waste more of our money on legal fees attempting to appeal the adverse management fee finding to the Upper Tribunal.

Permission to appeal that issue was refused.
