With a heavy heart I have to say Sean Burnage has left the building. In his own utterly incomparable and wonderful way he spent his last few days in the Mariah Carey Hospice in Hampstead. RIP Dad x

This is still the finest dismantlement of Boris Johnson that I have seen in a very long time. This should be shared every single day until we vote on December 12th. #GE2019

You could have told me that when I could not walk for weeks, with covid, undergoing cancer treatment and looking after three children on my own.

The damaging thing about this whole issue for gov is that Cummings instantly loses any right to tell others they are out of touch / elite / missing the public mood. That’s properly over now. He has become the thing he loathed.

Johnson’s darkest hour, his decision to essentially prioritise Cummings over the pandemic response, had at least three immediate effects... bmj.com/content/369/bm…

Last week there was no mention of ‘a small minority’ when it was a very small minority. This week it’s ‘a small minority’ when in fact it was anything but.

We all do and say things when young that we later regret. Claire Fox never apologised for defending the IRA bombing of Warrington which took the life of my son Tim and Johnathan Ball. Now she is offered a Peerage. This offends me and many others deeply

An IRA apologist with a history of defending men who download images of child sex abuse is being sent to the House of Lords by a Tory PM. All while supposedly supporting the abolition of the House of Lords. Tell me again how 'cancel culture' has attacked your freedom of speech...

You don’t get to stoke the fire at the beginning of the tournament by labelling our anti-racism message as ‘Gesture Politics’ & then pretend to be disgusted when the very thing we’re campaigning against, happens.

Tonight was about music and empathy. Billy Bragg Tank Park Salute was with me in the dark days that followed my dad’s death from lung cancer. Now that the pain of grief is no longer so sharp, it was lovely to hear it live and to remember how he always left the light on for me.

My mum is still waiting for an engineer. She’s facing a night alone with no heat or light. She can’t go anywhere in case an engineer turns up. Surely, EDF 🇬🇧 can give a narrower timescale for emergencies or a reassuring phone call???
