Officer Ryan E. Cappelletty was killed in the line of duty while responding to a shots fired complaint. As Ryan approached the residence, the suspect opened the door and shot at Ryan twice. One round struck and killed Officer Cappelletty. EOW: 5/28/2003

Officer Gary J. Buro and his partner responded to a domestic dispute in Ettrick. When the officers approached the suspect, he immediately opened fire, killing Gary. Though Gary's partner was shot several times, he returned fire, killing the suspect. EOW: 5/4/2006

**MISSING PERSON CRITICAL** Albemarle County Police Department is seeking information on the whereabouts of 71 year old Ronnie Darrell Wolford. Mr. Wolford is 5'6" and weights 110 pounds. He has blue eye and grey hair. He was last seen on August 24, 2022 around 5:00pm.
