Guard your soul. The 2-edged seduction of our day is to justify selling ourselves in order to “help people” & making a name for ourselves in Jesus’ name. It’s sly & it’s such bull & it bankrupts the soul. We’ve got to know in our own gut where the line is & when we’ve crossed it.

Started Romans today in my morning Bible reading & my brain was exploding by V.6. “the Son of God in power,” “the Spirit of holiness,” “Jesus Christ our Lord,” “the obedience of faith.” Good grief. In awe of it. Of Him. Just want to say this AM, plead even, read your Bibles.

When things aren't adding up in your life, begin subtracting. Life gets a lot simpler when you clear the clutter that makes it complicated. It’s all about focus. What you pay attention to grows. So focus on what matters and let go of what does not.

Take life day by day and be grateful for the little things. Don’t get caught up in what you can’t control. Accept it and make the best of it. When you stop worrying about what you can't control, you have more time to change the things you can control. And that changes everything.

A big part of your life is a result of your choices. If you don't like your life, it's time to start making changes and new choices. And it's OK to be low-key about it. You don't need to put everything on social media. Silently progress and let your actions speak for themselves.

Note to Self: Happiness is letting go of what you assume your life is supposed to be like right now, and sincerely appreciating it for everything that it is. So, RELAX. You are enough. You have enough. You do enough. Breathe deep... let go, and just live right now in the moment.

The next step means nothing if you are in love with your comfort zone and simply walking in circles. Don't live the same day 30,000 times and call it a life! Growth begins today, at the end of your comfort zone. Dream. Attempt. Explore. This is the beginning of anything you want.

Forgive yourself for the bad decisions you made, for the times you lacked understanding, for the choices that hurt others & yourself. Forgive yourself, for being young & reckless. These are all vital lessons. And what matters most right now is your willingness to grow from them.

Don't lower your standards, but do remember that removing your expectations of others is the best way to avoid being disappointed by them. You will end up sadly disappointed if you expect people will always do for you as you do for them. Not everyone has the same heart as you.
