We welcome a focus on protecting Canada’s freshwater resources. The importance of access to freshwater data was emphasized during recent discussions about the Canada Water Agency and we hope to see it continue to be prioritized going forward winnipegfreepress.com/canada/liberal…

An utter show of disrespect. This is not a step towards reconciliation - it’s a step away from the truth. I’m deeply disappointed in the provinces inability to do what’s right and lead the way to healing and change.

Think it's taken Ottawa a long time to actually do something about the occupation that has ground the city to a halt? It's worth remembering that this is what downtown Lytton still looks like, 7 months after it burned down. (1st image is RCMP station.)

Global fresh water demand will outstrip supply by 40% by 2030, say experts. Nations must start to manage water as a global common good, because most countries are highly dependent on their neighbours for water. #waterislife #swimdrinkfish theguardian.com/environment/20…

Two years ago Lytton BC was ravaged by fire the day after it recorded the highest temperature in Canada of over 49 degrees…residents are still displaced waiting for the rebuild of their community.

Currently, the Bridge River Valley, which lies between Whistler and Lillooet/Lytton is seeing the decimation by fire of cabins which lie around the popular Gunn Lake. Both of these locations I once called home.

Time for an emergency intervention by former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney where he explains to today's Conservative politicians that under his environmental leadership, Canada helped tackle both the hole in the ozone layer & acid rain (the latter using a price on pollution).
