Sunak's U-turn is a reflection of the total Europe-wide collapse of the market-based, neoliberal consensus on how to tackle the climate crisis. It marks the centre‐right's new path. And with the Left AWOL, our species is being quickmarched to extinction theguardian.com/politics/2023/…

Shameful decision that sends a terrible message on net zero commitments. I often fear the prospect of rich countries stuck in a prisoner's dilemma, refusing to commit to ambitious climate goals due to short-term economic fears. Long-term consequences would be catastrophic.

Another important step that brings people in #Europe closer together: Visa liberalisation for #Kosovo finally allows all Kosovar citizens to travel visa-free for short stays to the EU/Schengen area.

It's too soon. The void left behind is too large.

Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. Thank you for teaching us to never give up, to always hold on and push through the darkest of times with enthusiasm and a smile. I will never forget what you've done for me, my friends or my family. You changed the world.

There is hardly a space in pop culture today that hasn’t been touched by Akira Toriyama’s art. Drop a needle on a hip hop track and you'll hear lyrics about "going Super Saiyan." Watch sports and you'll see players cite Goku as their training inspo. my words of appreciation in

New research published in Nature today finds that we are on track for climate damages worth $38 trillion per year by 2050. This is a staggering figure. The damages are projected to be worth 6x more than the mitigation costs of limiting global warming to 2C.

I just finished reading "The Road to Freedom" by Joseph Stiglitz. It's fantastic. It's a detailed critique of neoliberalism and the concept of freedom as formulated by the likes of Hayek and Friedman. If you read only one piece of work by Stiglitz, make it this book.

There are no gods here, only monsters ⚔️ We're thrilled to reveal the first look at #TheWitcherIV — our upcoming single-player open-world RPG. It marks the beginning of a new saga with Ciri as a protagonist, embarking on her own journey to become a professional monster slayer.

For the rest of my life, I will never understand how a country full of people busting their asses, working paycheck to paycheck, allow the fucking richest guy on Earth to call them "parasites" while calling the Social Security we contributed to our entire lives "a Ponzi scheme."

I have no doubt in my mind that Kingdom Come 2 is Game of the Year 2025 and Best RPG I haven’t played an RPG since The Witcher 3 that was as perfect as this one. Tom McKay & Luke Dale as Henry and Hans were spectacular. I know I won’t play an RPG as good as this for MANY years.
