I’ve never worked in a school with a well-functioning special ed department. I know there are people who have, but I assume there are at least as many of me as there are of them, and this is a case where data means little because there are multiple incentives to lie.

This is a big problem with choral response. The kids who don’t know the answer can simply mouth a response and the teacher is none the wiser. I can’t see a use for it unless I knew every kid knew the answer and then we were just practising in order to imbed it.
