My orchids did really well last year and some of them are still in flower even now. I’ve particularly loved the delicate colours of this one .. ☺️ 🌼.

Researching ancestry & on my late granddad’s birth certificate it says his dad was a ‘bricklayer journeyman’. I’d never heard the word ‘journeyman’ before and thought it meant he was a traveller. Apparently it means a trained worker who is employed by someone else. Interesting.

Spent a very nice afternoon down Cromford Meadows and then wandering around the Mills there this afternoon - taking advantage of this lovely spring sunshine we’re having ☺️🌞.

My favourite ever ‘April Fool’ - Vivienne Westwood dressed as Margaret Thatcher made a memorable cover for society magazine Tatler in 1989 and had readers doing a double take when it appeared in newsagents #AprilFoolsDay #VivienneWestwood

No, it’s not a photo of two halves, in the foreground is a snow covered frozen lake. In all my years of coming to National Trust #kedlestonhall I’ve never seen the lakes iced over like this 🥶
