At #CHOGM2024 The Commonwealth in Samoa, I have just been chosen to Chair the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group #CMAG for the next two years. Malta accepted an invitation to continue serving as one of CMAG’s nine members for its third consecutive year.

Yet again the European Commission revised upwards its economic forecast for Malta. At 5% this year we will again have the highest growth among all countries, more than five times the EU average. Inflation and unemployment will both continue to decline. - RA

Honoured Malta is first in the EU to have IMF Article IV surveillance moved to a 24-month cycle from a 12-month one. This testifies our economic success and IMF's trust in our policy direction. I also welcome IMF's conclusion that we can deliver on Malta Vision 2050. - RA
