We’re delighted to welcome a new member of staff. Richard started with us in February. He has previous experience maintaining the grass & green spaces at a large holiday & residential caravan park. We purchased a new set of mowers to match our existing ones, & we’re READY TO MOW!

25mm of rain overnight (11pm - 6am). Standing water & large puddles on the roads. Local burn (small stream) flooded. Grass is squelching.

Goodness. I’ve been away from this Twitter account for a while. It’s Easter. I’m back. I’m pleasantly reminded how beautiful most of Twitter is, &sadly (but thankfully not entirely) how disconnected some ‘real gardeners’ make me feel. Happily, they’ll never stop me loving lawns🥰

History was made yesterday. After 149 Years the first drainage pipe installed on the Cappielow Surface. Stand side only but needed going forward during Wetter & Wetter Winters.

My son’s shin. My personal opinion is Councils would be best spending their money on maintaining healthy grass playing fields, than investing thousands of £ in red hot☀️plastic surfaces that are a recipe for painful injury. Plastic is not the answer. Invest in living grass🌱

Is it perfect? No Is it good? It’s better than it was in March. Is it healthy? It’s healthier. Has it been drenched in chemicals? No. It had a scarify & spring feed in March, plus a summer feed in June. That’s it. Do you cut it every 3 days? No. It gets cut once a fortnight.

We do believe that is sunlight on our lawn this morning. We almost forgot what sunlight looked like it’s been so cloudy this month. East Kilbride July Rainfall 2021 - 30mm July Rainfall 2022 - 61mm July Rainfall 2023 - 121mm so far
