My son’s shin. My personal opinion is Councils would be best spending their money on maintaining healthy grass playing fields, than investing thousands of £ in red hot☀️plastic surfaces that are a recipe for painful injury. Plastic is not the answer. Invest in living grass🌱

Michael Our council have recently agreed to install a pitch with artificial grass. Appalling decision. Environmentally bad enough, but now knowing this sort of injury is possible makes it so much worse. Thank you for sharing.....all about educating people.

Woken to hear FR Jones & Son (a very large garden machinery & clothing supplier/online & retail in South East) has gone into administration. I’ve no idea what happened, but no matter how big or small a biz, we are all susceptible to changing market & trading conditions. Sad news.

Remember how wet is was in East Kilbride last July (& all summer)? I do. We’ve now had more rain this July (75mm) than last July (61mm) & we’re not even halfway through the month yet 🤦‍♂️. We live in a rain cloud🌧️ in East Kilbride😂. Check our rainfall data mrmrsgardens.co.uk/east-kilbride-…

Is it perfect? No Is it good? It’s better than it was in March. Is it healthy? It’s healthier. Has it been drenched in chemicals? No. It had a scarify & spring feed in March, plus a summer feed in June. That’s it. Do you cut it every 3 days? No. It gets cut once a fortnight.

143mm of rain in July 🌧️😳😱 That is nearly 5 times the amount of rainfall we had in July 2021, & almost 2.5 times the amount we had during last year’s very wet July. This is summer, apparently. Into August we go. The last month of summer 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

If you’ve considered buying any of our wonderful seeds for your garden, but not yet tried our service, now would be an excellent time to do it. Alternatively, a retweet of one of our posts would be really appreciated. Thank you 🙏

⚠️🌱Have you seen this plant in Tayside?⚠️🌱 We have been controlling American skunk cabbage in Pitlochry for several years now but recently there's been sightings popping up all across the Tay catchment! Local PO Mark is working hard to get on top of the problem before- 1/2

Wednesday the 10th of April. Now on 109mm of rainfall for the month so far (not counting today’s deluge). That’s more than the last 3 years of rainfall in April combined, & we’re only 10 days in. Rainfall data taken from the rain gauge in our rear garden mrmrsgardens.co.uk/east-kilbride-…

The last decent Summer we had in East Kilbride was in 2021, & the last decent Spring was in 2022. May was the only half decent weather we had in 2023. Since then it feels like it hasn’t ever stopped raining. Let’s see what 2025 brings. Our rainfall data👇 mrmrsgardens.co.uk/east-kilbride-…
