My heart is with my dear Syrian friends tonight as we watch the end of the Assad regime. I have met thousands of them as they fled the horrors of Assad. Justice for the fallen, hope for the disappeared and may their efforts to create a free Syria be realized.

This morning I am thinking about little Alan Kurdi and the many children who died while trying to find safety from the Assad regime. May their memory be honored forever.
