When you vote, remember that leaders from the San Francisco Recovery Community stand behind CA Prop 36, which includes “treatment mandated felonies” as a way to get people help. At the same time we must advocate for more rehab Matt Dorsey T Wolf 🌁 Cedric Akbar

Congrats to ⁦Daniel Lurie 丹尼爾·羅偉⁩ on becoming the next mayor of SF! I ran to be a leader of the SF Dem Party promising change and I am glad to see you are in a position to deliver it!

I am inspired by Cedric Akbar and his leadership in the recovery community in San Francisco. We need more people like Cedric Akbar helping people through the drug recovery continuum and back to leading full lives. #recoveryispossible Gina_Mothers Against Drug Addiction & Deaths MADAAD-Mothers Against Drug Addiction and Deaths Steve Adami

I hope Dan Tsai and Daniel Lurie 丹尼爾·羅偉 realize that "housing first" will NOT help the people struggling with addiction on the street. One more time: Sticking severely addicted folks in a room ALONE, w/ zero requirements to participate in their own health, IS A DEATH SENTENCE.

This is a BiG deal and important shift in SF drug policy - our goal should be the cessation of illicit drug use. It shouldn’t be controversial, but then again, this is S.F. Steve Adami Gina_Mothers Against Drug Addiction & Deaths

I toured the Pt. Reyes farms back in ~2010 and saw the balance that had been achieved btwn environmental & small business goals. This deal is 💔👎How will Dems win non urban areas if we prioritize the environment over working people?

Yes - please! SF needs more SOBER transitional housing. Let’s provide people who want to overcome addiction an environment that facilitates recovery & a path to independent living. Steve Adami Matt Dorsey Drug-Free Sidewalks San Francisco ConnectedSF Garry Tan S.F. plans to open a new sober

But it's a clean, taxpayer funded pipe so he'll be fine, right? What happens when meth-induced psychosis sets in? Is there a "safe" alternative for that? Do the harm reduction crews follow up on this person when he loses his mind and becomes a danger?

I’m encouraged by Mayor Lurie's order to enact changes to San Francisco’s approach to drugs & homelessness. With the right policies AND execution, SF can enable recovery for everyone, from people addicted to drugs to small businesses. Daniel Lurie 丹尼爾·羅偉 Kunal Modi Drug-Free Sidewalks San Francisco

With open air drug use like this on our sidewalks, it is no wonder S.F. is the most childless major city in America. It's time to end public drug use and make S.F. more welcoming for families. Drug-Free Sidewalks San Francisco Steve Adami Matt Dorsey

SF voters passed Prop 36 for treatment-mandated felonies. Judges have an important role to play in Prop 36 to help people struggling with drugs get help. Thank you former Supervisor Bill Maher for asking judges to share how they plan to implement Prop 36. sfchronicle.com/opinion/letter…

Justin Cartwright wanted help! Went to HealthRight 360 to detox but instead OD’d and then w/in days was moved to a facility with less oversight - where he OD’d again & died. SF needs drug-free detox centers & drug-free sidewalks bit.ly/4iPi109

Every color of the rainbow in foil, pipes and straws at 3pm on the sidewalk across from the 16th & Mission Bart station. The new Dept. of Public Health policy to stop passing out these supplies in public is a good first step - on a long road toward drug-free sidewalks.

The national organization opposing my “Recovery First” ordinance praises drug dealers as “harm reductionists” and demands that they be included at “every step of the policymaking process.” So, I’m today urging my colleagues to reject the Drug Policy Alliance’s advocacy. (1/2)

San Francisco is on the verge of passing stronger drug policies, but we can’t do it without your help.  On May 6 the Board of Supervisors must vote to make the cessation of illegal drugs the goal of SF drug policies.  Email Board of Supervisors here: bit.ly/4cJ1b0G

Our DA Brooke Jenkins 謝安宜 marched against fentanyl deaths with members of the recovery community, kids from United Playaz, Drug-Free Sidewalks San Francisco. Conditions are a little better but we have a LONG way to go. Everyone must lobby together to end overdoses & keep the streets clean.

Glad to support Matt Dorsey and the Recovery First Ordinance as a way to signal the changes that are coming to San Francisco. Big step in the right direction toward getting more people off the streets & into recovery.
