After consultation w/ the victim's family, we worked to resolve this case expeditiously, in line w/ the family's wishes, & w/ their support, reached a negotiated disposition rather than going to trial.

The SF DISTRICT ATTORNEY is committed to ensuring that SF is safe for everyone who lives in & enters our city. While we must protect avenues for free speech, the exercise of free speech cannot compromise public safety.

The jury’s verdict delivers justice to the survivor of this violent attack. Domestic violence will not be tolerated + will be vigorously prosecuted by my office.

Survivors are not alone + have an advocate in my office who will stand w/ them + fight for justice in the courtroom.

Vandalism of this nature is unacceptable + is more alarming as it occurred during Ramadan while Muslim families were present.

Houses of worship are sacred spaces + my office will make it clear that there's 0 tolerance for those who commit crimes targeting religious spaces.

Driving under the influence is dangerous and will not be tolerated in San Francisco.

My office takes these cases seriously and will use every legal means available to ensure that those who choose to drink and drive are held accountable and face consequences.
