A thread. My brother Modou Jeng is part of the people stuck in the Ferry since yesterday due to the failure of the engines. After the waves took the ferry towards Albreda, the ferry hit a mangrove swamp and they are now stuck in there and none of the small boats can move the ferry

It sounds obvious when you say this out loud but patients in hemorrhagic shock are bleeding blood NOT saline. If you think about it crystalloids are effectively blood thinners. They dilute platelets. They dilute clotting factors. They make bleeding patients more likely to bleed

Hi, ER Doc here. Every time I see somebody with a nosebleed doing this wrong I feel the need to get this message out: If your nose is bleeding, DO NOT TILT YOUR HEAD BACK. This just makes the blood drip down the back of your throat and you will then swallow and/or choke on it.
