Dear Ontario: it's not just kids at risk. The care you may need for a heart attack, stroke or car accident is now in jeopardy due to overwhelming strain to our entire health care system from uncontrolled viral transmission. Do your part #WearAMask #WeNotMe

Pediatric hospitals are limiting essential surgeries for children in operating rooms and we as adults are debating the discomfort of masking in malls.

I can’t support a company/social media platform where workers are given an ultimatum to be “extremely hardcore and work long hours or leave”. Adios Twitter!

Tried, but can’t quit Twitter even if I disagree strongly with working conditions of its staff. Too much good information here! On that note, want to share a fascinating read: Empty Planet by Darrell Bricker and John Ibbitson. Got it at local library but now have purchased.

This is an urgent call for action. ETFO joins this call to demand that the Ontario College of Teachers reverse and refund the outrageous 17.64% fee increase imposed on teachers! #onted #onpoli

You can acknowledge the need to fix societal inequities while also dealing with the acute safety issue in our city’s public transit system. It’s time to significantly beef up security in these spaces. A stabbing a day should not be the normal state of things!

The Ford government wants more new homes in York Region. But where would the poop go? South to Lake Ontario, threatening two Great Lakes watersheds — and possibly violating a protection agreement between Ontario, Quebec and eight U.S. states. thenarwhal.ca/great-lakes-tr…

So Enbridge Gas made a gross profit of $3.787 Billion in 2022 a 19.22% increase in profit while some seniors will lose their homes over their heating Bills. This is called "gouging"

Here's the OCT building, on Bloor St. downtown Toronto, right above the fancy Rolex store, and across from vacant boutiques that can't afford the rent. But I guess it's all good when you raise your member fees 37%, during a bargaining year, so you can keep the space. Shame.#onted

Reading the new Language curriculum this morning and am curious about the use of the words ‘cultural text’ in expectation C1.2 (gr 4 and up). Cultural text is not defined in glossary. Wondering about the purpose of this modifier - could this not mean text from any culture?

On September 1, 1980, Terry Fox was forced to stop his Marathon of Hope in Thunder Bay, Ontario, when cancer had invaded his lungs. By this time, he had run for 143 days and covered 5,373 km. Our Heritage Minute commemorates his story. youtu.be/H2F9LbF_pF0?si…
