Today, I announced that we will push for the City of Dallas to create its first-ever Commission on Disabilities. This new city commission would advise us on how to better respond to and address the full spectrum of needs, rights, and privileges of people with disabilities.

Thank you Office of Mayor Eric L. Johnson for commissioning me to go before my Workforce, Education & Equity Committee and City Council colleagues to bring the Commission on Disabilities into reality. The time for change is now and I hope everyone can agree that differences are meant to unite us.
