That 4th quarter is the first time we’ve seen the real New York Knicks since 2 minutes to go in game 1. It really felt last game and most of this game like that collapse had taken the heart out of the players, and was tough to watch. Hopefully this game gives them confidence back

A really tough loss to watch! With 3 minutes to go we became happy with Bridges just hoisting shots even in heavy coverage. But more than anything this game came down to turnovers. With two closely matched teams you can’t expect to win if you commit 7 more turnovers

The parallels between us this series and the Celtics last round are remarkable. Both teams gave up 2 games at home after leading, then came back to win game 3, then had one of their best players get injured in the 4th quarter of game 4

This was a great team win and there’s still a ton of areas we can improve. We need to keep this intensity up for game 6, and we can still do a much better job of taking care of the ball, getting to the line (and making them), and shooting from deep (without Brunson we shot 19%)

Brunson is constantly breaking or matching records and yet the media and even some Knicks fans still want to blame him for us being down in this series. Between stats like this and financial bullet he took for this team, I don’t want to ever hear that slander again!

It’s really disappointing to have lost this series, but this was a really successful season all round. If you told me at the beginning of the year that this team would finish just two wins short of the NBA finals I’d have been very happy with that outcome

I will always be grateful for how Thibs turned this team around. Say what you want about his tactics but he built a winning culture for the first time in 25 years. I hope our new coach can maximise the offensive potential of the starters whilst getting more consistent defensively

Mikal Bridges was the only player who had openly voiced his frustrations with Thibs over the last 2 months. You’ve got to wonder if convincing him to re-sign (possibly at a discount) was a factor here. If he walks away for nothing after next season then that trade was a disaster!

In 2020 Leon Rose interviewed 13 people before hiring Thibs & that process took 4 months. They’re literally the only team with a coaching vacancy & it’s been less than 2 weeks. Their request to speak with other coaches is doing due diligence 101…NOT…the “lack of a plan”,
