Universities, like Columbia, must ask themselves, “under what conditions would they permit the police to kill one of its students or one of its faculty members.

Is Columbia willing to have police kill one of its students today? That is the gamble they’re taking.

A classmate of my sibling @ smith college put it this way — the investments may be “negligible” parts of the university’s investments, but they are certainly not “negligible” to the children they are helping to slaughter.
