Year 3 loved their three week project where we researched how to identify different birds. With our expert knowledge, we took part in the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch (the world’s largest bird survey!)-we spent an hour counting all the birds we saw to help the RSPB RSPB

Today we joined millions across the country in a National Day of Reflection. We have remembered that, although there have been times of anxiety and sadness, there have also been times of joy, resilience and so much togetherness…and now there is also hope!

Having a great time at Forest School! We built mini-dens, played ‘twigs and leaves’ and used tools to make ‘ribbit sticks’ – fantastic percussion instruments that sound like frogs croaking – and of course, we challenged ourselves to climb!

Today, we learned about the festival of Eid. We heard from special guests during our assembly, who talked about the importance of morning prayer, celebratory clothes, special foods and the joy of giving gifts to family, friends and neighbours. Eid Mubarak!

We had a great time at Forest School – we revisited skills that we have learned this year and practised safe fire-lighting. We also had a massive amount of fun, collaborating while building some amazing structures!

Year 6 are looking forward to a great week, on our annual residential trip and at our ever-popular King’s Oak Activities Week – we wish them all lots of sunny weather and a fantastic time!

We are having a fantastic time today at the KMS ‘Big Sing’! Each year, Kingston Music Service host a summer music festival for all school choirs in Kingston and this year it is online which means that all children, in all schools, can take part from their classrooms!

Children in Year 3 have really enjoyed taking part in an exciting project with the Polka Theatre! Today at 11:30 a.m., two children’s stories are being read out by famous authors and you can follow this via a livestream on the Polka website…fantastic! polkatheatre.com/schools/funded…
