From this week you might start seeing South Western Ambulance Service staff wearing body cams - this is due to the recent increase in assaults /violent incidents our crews are dealing with! Christmas Eve... Very busy across the South Hams and Torbay mainly drink related. An hour and a half into our shift we attended a single car RTC, female in her 60s, 3. 5 times over the limit! Arrested and taken into custody. She thought we should be catching criminals instead.

Following the report of an offence in Dartmouth, Kingsbridge response intercepted a vehicle & detained the driver, a passenger fled . Search commenced & he was later located in Ivybridge, where the other Kingsbridge unit chased him on foot until he was detained. 2 in custody.
