Honestly I would say if you need or care about the money you are better off self publishing if a publisher is not going to give you a reasonable advance. But here lies the problem: publishing and literature is so classist that if you self publish no one will take you serious in

Reading books changed my life in so many ways. I used to see life as just black and white, but books opened my eyes to many grey areas that exist in life. Trying everyday to learn, unlearn and relearn.

The perfect romance book length to me is around 330-360 pages. The max length should be around 400 pages. When the book is too long, I start to think about all the chapters that could have been cut. Just because the book has a lot of pages doesn’t mean it’s good.

“You make the people you care about feel like … He pauses. Like you want all of them. Not just the good parts. And that’s terrifying to someone who’s spent a lifetime avoiding those other pieces of themselves.” — Emily Henry (Funny story).

“I’m just super casually asking if you would still consider uprooting your entire fucking life for me, so, no: I’m not nervous at all.” — Ruby Landers (Ribbonwood). God, I love when people do sapphic romance right.

“But little do they know: killing a man is so much more satisfying than fucking a man could ever be.”— Layne Fargo (They never learn).

I don’t like when a romance book is too long 😭 cause it just means I’ll face one million and one unnecessary drama, third act breakups and miscommunication.
