It was such an honor to design and coordinate a walking tour of Ida B. Wells sites in downtown Memphis with her great-granddaughter MLDwrites. The experience for Crosstown High students (and more to come!) are a part of Tennessee’s Governor’s Civics Seal grant.

Today, Adam W. Sadberry of Memphis Symphony Orchestra shared his music and family legacy with Crosstown High 10th graders. His grandfather, L. Alex Wilson, was one of the first editors of The Tri-State Defender and covered key events of the Civil Rights Movement.
