In the absence of current involvement in the High Court I have been having a busman's holiday watching the Derek Chauvin trial in Minnesota. A case well drawn together by the prosecution and an uphill struggle for the defence. Interesting just to be a spectator!

Now that my Busman's holiday is over with a just verdict in light of the evidence I can reflect on the positives - use of technology - and negatives - last word to prosecution; total unanimity for verdict. Looking forward to return to High Court and familiar procedures.
