Our team spent so much time and effort on this piece because we know how important and sensitive this topic is! All those days and nights! We are very proud of this work and we are so glad that we can help women's voices to be heard in this space!

Extremely proud of this work!! Exploring how people who identify as women experience technology and harassment is a topic very close to home for me, and I feel honored to have been given the opportunity to dive into it!

Our team has been working hard on developing novel solutions to identify and mitigate harm in social VR. So here is our new #CSCW2023 paper on using consent to prevent harm in social VR! Such a great collaboration with Doug Zytko and congrats to all hardworking student authors!

Our paper shows a complex story of how social VR users see consent as boundaries, how they (re)purpose existing social VR features and practices for boundary setting, and how their envision designing future consent mechanics in social VR to mitigate harm as boundary violation.

Women in academia need to jump through so many hoops: mentoring students, teaching, services, writing grants, doing research, going to meetings/conferences, sick kids, kids dance/piano/sports/xxx classes, kids homework, kids birthday parties, household chores, etc. (2/3)
