Clean energy critics often argue that addressing climate change will require too much mining. So I looked into the data. I found that our current fossil fuel economy requires 535x more mining than a 100% clean energy economy would. 🧵

City-building as spectacle is over. The Ferris wheel era is kaput. Cities world-wide have shifted their focus to creating places where people can live, work and play - as opposed to waterfronts as destinations with massive parking facilities + wickedly high carbon footprints.

Crypto is pretty useless. But it's proven very effective at consuming fossil fuels and warming up our planet.

We need more hope-keepers in the climate justice movement. More people who hold evidence-based hope in their hands that celebrate the continued momentum and progress that is being done. Because without them, who would we lean on in times of despair?
