Anyone saying we aren't 'doomed' on climate is privileged.

How do I know? Because some people already *are* doomed. People already lost lives, homes, and cultures. We have to act with this in mind and remember that Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities are in danger.

I do believe humans will learn to live differently, but only when we are willing and ready to walk away from our privileges - or when crisis demands it. Humility and uncertainty are more important than we give them credit for.

We need to be wary of climate solutions that promise the continuation of extraction and exploitation. There is no such thing as an easy fix. There is a difference between 'problems' (that which can be solved) and 'predicaments' (that which must be confronted).

I hope the eclipse reminded people what it's like to be fascinated with the world around us. I hope this awe and wonder can be carried in our hearts, in spite of systems that demand our indifference.

My thoughts go out to all of the states like Texas that will experience extreme heat this summer 💔 Especially the ones that keep voting in Republicans because they aren't going to get better anytime soon 💔💔

The intellectualization of nature has separated our bodies from lands they once knew. I don't need another report to convince me something must be done, I will act bravely because I see others acting bravely and my body moves with the rhythm of my community.

The Lorax (book) came out in 1971.
Wall-E came out in 2008.
Don't Look Up came out in 2021.

Attitudes are shifting, but the crisis hasn't abated. We can't over-rely on narrative as a replacement for connection and organization. It should be a portal to those things.

This is absolutely horrific. People wanting to deliver food see as a threat and bombed alive. This is wicked that we continue to tell ourselves that there is no such thing as a genocide. We must have a ceasefire and end the genocide.

We can't afford to lose our ecologies of love from our human landscapes.

Florida has a bill passing to remove climate change from its laws and all I can think about is that it's the marginalized groups that are going to be impacted the most by this. This political theater will have real consequences for POC communities in Florida.

It's funny that the reports on how climate change will increase costs and inflation will probably have more of an effect than reports on climate change impacting our safety and health. But not funny in a good way 😅

The bill Congress just passed:
–Cuts UNRWA funding
–Sends Israel another $3.8 billion
–Limits aid to the Palestinian Authority if 'the Palestinians' initiate or support an International Criminal Court investigation against Israel for human rights crimes theintercept.com/2024/03/22/gaz…

There is no world in which the forced famine of 1.1 million people cannot be considered genocide. And that is exactly what we are watching unfold in Gaza now.

We must enforce U.S. laws and halt weapons transfers to the Israeli government to stop an atrocity in the making.
