Happy #IndigenousPeoplesDay from Shawnee, Chickasaw, Cherokee, Osage, Adena, Hopewell, Mississippian, & Yuchi land—land also now called Kentucky. We recognize we're on native land & today is about more than land acknowledgments. We must fight for indigenous justice.

💗Loved seeing and hearing my Seneca High School students interpreting for Newcomer Academy students today. And my students learned that I can speak French because I was an interpreter just like them. #SenecaSoars #JCPSML

Today we conducted a cookie dig based on our EL Education module. Students were given a brush (brand new), chisel (toothpick) & a chocolate chip cookie! They were then asked to extract a fossil (chocolate chips) from the rock (cookie). What a fun & yummy lesson! Kenwood Elementary
