Kids are hilarious. Combined teams for 8-9 yo fall baseball. Pitching for 1st time. Coach tells boys a little about my background. I take my first kid off to the side to do some mechanics basics... "So were you with the White Sox recently? They're pretty terrible." 😂

New article from Arthroscopy Journal. I absorbed an ACLR that's roughly 12 weeks s/p and his 90 deg isometric test showed a 69% deficit. Sigh. Check out the highlighted spot. We. Suck. At. Loading. Then it manifests with terrible loading response.

Dan Lorenz OJSM_SportsMed Really nice study. Bony stress reactions in elbow are more common than thought. We’ve caught lot of them at our institution. Hope is to catch them before eccentric load and stress results in failure of bone and/or ligament.

Lunch time read from PT in Sport. Is there anything that patients perseverate over more than crepitus in the knee? Turns out it doesn't matter a whole lot, which I think we all inherently know, but good to have some support when talking patients off the ledge.

In the early stages of data collection on our Isometric Mid-Thigh Pull after ACLR study. Very interested to see how this plays out and if it affects long-term quad outcomes as I suspect (and hope?) it will. The data in S&C is pretty clear, could be a big deal for ACL's!

Two recent studies on incidence of OA related to graft type after ACLR. Not a whole lot shocking. Always wonder if the graft argument is the wrong one here too - would be interested to see if OA related to the strength deficits/losses. Have to think it's major contributor.

One "knock" on BPTB grafts os patela baja long-term. Easy trestment for that in early stages, a staple of my treatment, is superior tilts of the patella in flexion. I find it helps derease adhesions inferiorly and also reduces inf pole pain when time comes for CKC exs.

I have taken a number of these courses. Highly recommend this one, it is fantastic. These toxic ideas continue to be promulgated in academia. We have to put them to bed for good. Thank you Hillsdale College Online Courses Hillsdale College

Final touches on talks for Orthopaedic Summit in LV next week. 7 mins to talk about "Building Strength & Explosiveness Through Progressive Loading" is brutal. Pretending on last dying breaths to minimize slides. "Must...cough...add...cough, cough...more...gasp, cough...weight." 😀💪

Pitch metrics (velo/spin rates) more predictive of Shoulder/Elbow injury than workload or demographics for MLB pitchers. ▫️What makes them effective can ⬆️ injury risk ▫️Big reason injuries are 📈 ▫️That’s the struggle See PDF👉 tinyurl.com/5eu9vc9n Jacob Oeding, MS Martijn

Man. Im seeing soooo many more shoulder stabilization procedures with Remplissage. Hotter than sunburn it seems. Will it become the standard? Almost like LET w ACLs maybe? 🤔
