It was a wet & windy morning for our #RefugeesWelcome vigil. But we sang our hearts out! 🎶’King of all Nations, come, embrace and unify the human race; command our sad division cease and be for us the Prince of Peace. Rejoice, rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to you, O Israel’🎶

After a little sabbatical in January we are back on the roundabout tomorrow for our monthly #RefugeesWelcome vigil at Dover Docks from 7.30am. We’d love you to pray with us from wherever you are...

"The journey to safety is hard. Europe doesn’t want refugees. We thought we had arrived to safety but Europe is trying to make us struggle more and send us back to danger." #RefugeesWelcome Kent Christian Peace Activists

At our #RefugeesWelcome prayer & protest vigil this morning we read this wonderful hymn “Magnificat Now” by Fred Kaan: “He calls us to revolt and fight, with him for what is just and right, to sing and live Magnificat - in crowded street and council flat.” 🙌 #everydayfaith

It was good indeed to return with Kent Christian Peace Activists to our monthly #RefugeesWelcome vigils at Dover ferry terminal this morning. We sang, we prayed, & the stunning #sunrise & the 'weeds' breaking through the concrete reminded us that beauty abounds & that better things are possible.

It has been a beautiful spring day here, & so the perfect morning to stand in protest & prayer in Dover with Kent Christian Peace Activists to say #RefugeesWelcome, with the wish that all our sisters & brothers might have the ease to enjoy the sun on their face without fear. #GodsLoveKnowsNoBorders

“Black lives matter is a theological statement, it’s a lament to the lord, it’s a prayer... it’s an assertion of the imago dei” #gbblm thank you JemarTisby.Substack.com. for your wisdom 🙏

Today was unbelievably special. A huge crowd of more than 200 men, women and children turned up at the Folkestone military barracks this morning with heart-warming posters, chants and cheers to welcome the refugees there – all while dancing & singing to You’ve Got a Friend in Me!

Wonderful to join with Kent Refugee Action Network (KRAN) as official partners of the #RefugeesWelcome event at Napier Barracks in Folkestone today - and even more wonderful to see over 300 people turn up in support! Thanks to Jacqueline (Bee) Durban 🇵🇸 for being our rep on the ground...
