Had fun helping Katie Busch with her piscivore stoichiometry project today. Below is an adult largemouth bass and its poop 🐟💩
Hey Aquatic Ecology Twitter! Do you know a lake or river in need of a Wikipedia page? If so, let me now! Students in my Limnology class Miami University are creating new Wikipedia pages on lakes and rivers! @[email protected] Limnology & Oceanography WikiProject Katie Busch Lizzy_Gallagher
Going to #JASM22? Please consider checking out these presentations by students working with @taurocephala and me. Learn about nutrients, stoichiometry, leaf litter, fish, frogs, and (dead) cicadas! Thanks to Carrie Ann for this nice design.
Let us be heard: Chalked the sidewalks and they washed it away. Made signs to spread awareness to incoming students and was told to move outside. Where’s the #loveandhonor? Miami University #nogradsnolabs #miamigradswork GSA The Miami Student Miami University Graduate School @famiamioh
Yesterday #wundergrad Max (NoTwitter) measured sediment depth in Acton Lake for his research project (thanks ORU Miami Ohio). Bill Renwick (NoTwitter) came out of retirement! Of course we ran out of gas and had to be rescued…When PIs go in the field…🙄😂🤓
Katie Busch kicked (b)ass at her masters defense today 🐟 Great work on the ecological stoichiometry of piscivorous fish (largemouth bass). Piscivores have stoichiometrically balanced diets, but the phosphorus in bones of prey fish is hard to assimilate. 🦴P quality matters!
