Awesome thread on harm reduction thinking, for health professionals (like me). We can’t simply restrict our thinking to certain prescribing interventions. We need to understand and work to change context/setting/policy to promote health & reduce harms

I can name 29 people sleeping in tents or on benches right now on the peninsula alone. How many people are sleeping rough that I don't know? When will @NS_DCS Housing Nova Scotia admit there is a homelessness crisis and start to act to house these people? We need affordable housing now!

We can choose to spend $7 billion annually in “managing” homelessness, or we can invest in prevention measures like an acquisition strategy to stop the bleeding.
