We remember.

“We don’t need more hotel rooms, and we don’t need more shelters. What we really need is a pathway for all the folks …to be able to move on to find safe and permanent housing.” #housing

If we really want to tackle this crisis & create housing that people can afford, here’s the ‘best advice’ from a province taking action: “Don’t make it about left or right, bring everybody to the table” incl non profits, homelessness activists & free market thinkers. #housing4all

We’ll take some time to dig into this plan, hoping to see real solutions and the funds to make them happen. Adsum has been at this for 40 years and it’s beyond time that Canada, its provinces, and its municipalities uphold housing as a human right.

We’re always happy to hear of new investments in housing. With today’s announcement by the federal govt, we’re hopeful that the @govns will negotiate a deal that will see more affordable housing of all kinds quickly built across NS.

The decision to index IA is the right one but still leaves tens of thousands of Nova Scotians living grossly below the poverty line. Our govt is leaving too many people behind - a 2.5% increase won’t move someone out of a tent - it’ll hardly put one meal on a table for a family.
