Events are rolling here at the MLK Indoor in Louisville KY! About 45 mins away from our first events today (girls/boys 1600m). Bowling Green T&F

SR Kathryn Harris medals in 2nd place (11:35) in the girls 3200m! Seeded 3rd, she used a strong middle of the race to move from 4th into 2nd and held that spot in the closing laps. SR Simon Basham holds his 10 seed finishing 10th in 10:54! Late surge moved him from 12th to 10th.

Indoor Track State Leaders in Class 3A. SR Kathryn Harris still #1 in this great Commonwealth at 3200m. Her 11:35 time has held up for three straight weekends. It's also the BGHS school indoor 3200m record. Bowling Green T&F The Purple Spirit BG Purples Athletics

SR Simon Basham also set the BGHS Indoor 3200m school record on 1/18 in 10:54. That is currently #18 in Class 3A and within the top 24 cut line for the State Meet. Several other athletes just inside/outside the cut line as we prep for a full team run on 2/23.

Indoor State Update. The elite Eastern Indoors meet is in the books & LOADS of fast times hit the standings. Presently, SR Kathryn Harris would be the #5 seed in the 3200m & SR Simon Basham would be #22 on the boys side. Only the 24 athletes in each event make State.

Absolutely so deserving of this award. The time she has put into developing the musical skills of all of her students is unspeakable. I couldn’t be more proud to call her my clarinet teacher and band director. Congratulations Ms. S!

State Indoor Track qualification times submitted! We're awaiting finalization of Purples qualifiers which will be set tomorrow or Friday. Knowns are SR Kathryn Harris 3200m, SO Stella Miner 400m, SR Aaron Carver triple jump, Girls 4x800m. A few others pending. Bowling Green T&F
