People at higher risk for severe COVID—the immunocompromised, disabled, elderly—have every right to take precautions and have every right to be angry. They are not "hysterical" or "risk averse." They are being intentionally excluded from society by bad pandemic leadership.

This was one of the hardest years of my life and I’m happy to have made it to the end.

This is why I don't trust people who tell me that they're still careful. There's always the "oops, I forgot about..." or they don't mask at the gym, or they're still maskless in bars and restaurants and have convinced themselves that eating renders them impervious, or whatever.

This afternoon I am processing the loss - as we all are in the disability community & beyond - of Judy Heumann. 💔 Rest in peace and rest in power. There are a couple things that keep coming to mind when I reflect on Judy Heumann's enormous impact:
