You only get to the current economic situation you are in by the policy choices the current or past governing party has made, regardless of external inputs. What’s the dictionary word for that?

There is obviously a role for Internet platforms - including AI companies - to help mitigate public safety risks. But user monitoring and potential over-reporting conduct to police raises serious privacy concerns too. Need enforceable, transparent standards that strike a balance.
