In my boss's office there has been a countdown clock running for 1000 days marking when RHEL 9 is supposed to be released. Every 1:1, every meeting, ticking away. Reminding of the promise we made. Today, we all got to watch it hit 0. Thanks for the memory Michael MCGRATH 🎉
Shipped it! This is the seventh major Red Hat Enterprise Linux release I've been involved in, and I'm still incredibly proud to be part of the team. Despite a minor revolution in how we work (hello CentOS Project Stream) this was a remarkably smooth release.
EPEL9 launched five and a half months ago. Today, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 was released. In that time EPEL9 has grown to 5764 packages (from 2678 source packages) built by 249 different Fedora Project (@[email protected]) packagers. 📦🎉🤩
