I’m not a restaurant owner but I know many friends that are. January is a brutal month - then you throw in a tough economy and a Weekend State of an emergency. Talk about a cold front. So once we’re done “chilling out”, lets do our best to “get out & eat out” #getoutandeatout

Well done @CityofStJohns. Taken almost 24 hours (but seemingly different planets) apart.

St. John’s Metro region will remain closed for the remainder of the week (Jan. 22-24, inclusive). For the entire Avalon region:All high school mid-term, final, and public exams scheduled to begin the week of January 27th will be delayed until the week of February 3rd.

We also have officers working the emergency operations centre, the Gathering Place, the dialysis and cancer treatment centres, as well as assisting other vulnerable persons within our communities. This is in addition to our regular patrol officers doing routine calls for service.

Just back from @colemansfoods NL drive after restocking ... little bit of a wait to get in but everyone was friendly and orderly! Staff passed out fruit to kids waiting in line. Great service all round (and very little line up when I was leaving!)

If you own or know who owns the cars left on the school lot, please move them or ask them to move them so our snow clearing can be done.
