Important results: Remember the 2 MO hairstylists who saw 140 clients over 8 days while infected with COVID but everyone had worn masks? Contact tracers found ZERO secondary infections. More evidence that masks work. cnn.com/2020/06/11/us/…

is struck by this pattern in some states with spikes in cases. Take Alabama. One graph shows the spike in reported cases; one would expect with the increase in testing. The other graph shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Alabama. As you can see, there is no correlating spike.

Total COVID hospitalizations fell to 1,538 yesterday — the lowest since March 20. The 3-day rolling average in daily COVID fatalities is at 24, a new record low.

I choose to focus on Andrew Cuomo's failures because my dark fear is he will never get held accountable for the mass suffering and death New York went through from COVID-19. 25,000+ people did not have to die. His incompetence was tragic and lethal.

Re Cuomo's possible quarantine of Florida travelers: Florida's current case trend definitely looks bad, but not much worse than Central New York's did nine days after Cuomo reopened it.

Questions I'd like to hear Cuomo answer at his last coronavirus briefing: Should there be an investigation of how the state handled the pandemic, to understand why it was so hard hit and what should be done differently in the future? If so, who should conduct it?

As positive COVID tests spike, the number of deaths continues to decline. This must be partly the result of wider testing, which is reaching younger and less symptomatic people. Is this a typical pattern for pandemics?

"New York’s quarantine will not apply to Yankees and Mets players returning to the area to complete spring training, which can begin on July 1," Mr. Cuomo said. Pro tip: This new travel restriction is so arbitrary it couldn't possibly hold up in court.

This statistic is absolute, 100%, unmitigated B.S. NY is low for two unflattering reasons: a) The state excludes NH patients who died in hospitals from its NH death count. b) Its COVID toll among non-NH patients has been extraordinarily high. buffalonews.com/news/local/gov…

Yes, mortality is a lagging indicator. In April, however, NY's death rate peaked just three days after its case rate peaked. AZ's infection rate has been spiraling for a month with no comparable increase in deaths.

My favorite line from The National Review's editorial blasting Trump's pardon of Roger Stone: "No one would think of letting Roger Stone anywhere near any serious responsibility, and even the Trump campaign in 2016 had the sense to keep him at arm’s length."
